This time last year I had barely even started this blog so there seemed little need to make any resolutions. I was hoping to keep it going more than I was resolving to improve it. But now here were are and I am starting to think about where I want this blog to be this time next year.
This year has seen me gain a lot of new subscribers on the back of a few thoughtful posts, but the one thing I haven’t done is go chasing readers. I like to think that you are reading this because you like what I write and what I come up with. It isn’t the most popular blog in the world, and while more reader are always good, my first resolution is to continue not to chase the numbers.
In 2009 I want to continue to question the way people do things, but I also need to keep learning. Some of these polls have surprised me so I need to connect better with what people use WordPress for, and how they use it. That is a key goal for 2009.
This post is however a Monday poll, and so I want to know what you plan to do in 2009 with WordPress, for WordPress, or even for anything but WordPress. The Monday Poll question then is this:

You're a lot more organised than I am Wesley; that's a good list of things you have for 2009.
Best of luck.

I've posted my internet related goals online at my blog; http://www.improvingtheweb.com/my-internet-goal... — Though unlike you, I intend on chasing those readers :) (But my numbers may be a little out of proportion.. :))
