What’s all this about then?

For almost as long as I have been blogging I’ve been using Wordpress, and for as long as I’ve been using Wordpress I’ve been moulding it to my whim through custom themes, plugins, and the odd bit of hacking here or there. Fun with Wordpress is my solution to putting all those thoughts in one place, and giving something back to the community that has helped me on my way.

Who am I?

My name is Andrew Rickmann. I live in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

What I do

I have worked in Financial Services for 10 years, mostly in compliance, My current role is an Advertising Specialist in a large Network / Compliance Consultancy. This involves, amongst many other things, providing guidance on the Financial Services Authority regulations and the way they apply to consumer advertising.

I also design and build websites on a freelance basis, blog about webdesign, photoblog, and I have a website for sharing photography locations across Britain.
